Ok, let's talk Jon and Kate
I know it's on your mind ... let's just fess up. Are you following/wondering about Jon and Kate Gosselin? What's the truth? What's not?
Here's what I think ...
I think it stinks.
I think that no matter what the truth is, people are hurting.
I think that their marriage will suffer - regardless.
I think that children are sensing tension which is not healthy for them.
I hate that this is happening. I have opinions on what I think of Kate and what I think of Jon, but those have to be thrown aside. They are a married couple. And, in my opinion, once you make your vows "before God and these witnesses" - you are married regardless of personality conflicts, how you grow apart, or whatever else life throws your way.
I would hate to think:
(1) that Jon would even fathom being with another woman OTHER THAN the mother of his 8 children,
(2) that this is truly a misunderstanding and this family has gone through this pain for nothing.
We all have to agree that the Gosselin kids are the cutest children ever. I could just scoop them all up and kiss their little cheeks!
We need to pray for this family. How they handle this crisis could be an example for many people in a similar position. I hope they handle it honestly (with themselves, not "the general public") and I hope that they can keep their family intact.
I think they're going to have a rough road either way.

So waaaaaay back when she was pregnant with the six, I went to their church. It was such a big exciting thing for our community, especially the church who stepped up in a HUGE unbelievable way to help them. They went through some pretty tough times early on, especially when Jon was laid off by his employer who didn't want the medical insurance premiums associated with sextuplets.
I happen to believe that this is a big misunderstanding, that people are talking and making up stuff to sell their stories to the tabloids because this family is so popular. I am very familiar with the places Jon and the "other woman" were "seen together" and I refuse to believe that he is that stupid. I think it's a case of overlapping circles of friends who hang out, and he made the mistake of going anywhere in public with this "friend" of theirs. He has apologized and realizes now that being seen with her in absense of Kate was poor judgement. I just have a VERY hard time believing that even logistically he could be having this affair.
They are a God-fearing couple and committed to each other no matter WHAT happened, and so it should be their business and only their business. And you're right, we should pray for them. They chose to put their family in the spotlight and now they are paying the consequences of that decision.
I still say there's a LOT going on that we'll never know about and Kate?...I wonder if they edit the show to make her look so mean...yeah, I think so...those poor kids....
Kate seemed SO sad on the Today show....unlike i've ever seen her. I do think that Jon has had inappropriate conduct, but was it a sexual relationship? I'd doubt that. But, he I am sure has had moments of weakness that have undoubtedly been blown out of proportion especially by the tabloids. I do have to disagree with you, Steph, on one thing....I'm afraid I can't be included in the group that claims their kids to be the cutest children ever - I happen to wholeheartedly believe my kids actually take that title! But then again, what mom wouldn't think that of their own?! :)
